Netflix Selects Spot-On Actor for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Upcoming Installment

Baroque Works is poised to play a huge role in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, even if the real showdown won’t unfold until the next season, and a cherished, fan-favorite member has now been chosen.

Netflix announced Tuesday that the skilled actor will appear in the One Piece cast for the third season and will play Bentham. Bon Clay has the ability to transform into an identical duplicate of any person they’ve touched with their dominant hand. Escola, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a rendition of that character reinterpreted as gender non-binary, as opposed to as a drag artist, in the live-action show, as in the original manga and cartoon version.

This performer will work alongside a number of fresh additions who will portray Baroque Works to reality, including chief the main antagonist, played by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek, and a familiar face, who is also part of the ensemble as King Nefertari Cobra of the desert kingdom.

Even though Bon Clay is a major member of the organization, the persona won’t make their debut One Piece season 3. Given the second season set to cover the Little Garden segment, this marks a notable change in the timing of the character’s debut, one that could suggest further changes to the story’s structure.

Their mix of precise humor and emotional depth makes them a standout choice for the role. In addition to their latest vocal work in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and several accolades for penning and acting in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, showcasing the range they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s widely praised characters.

The streaming service’s real-life One Piece program is set to return for its next installment on the tenth of March, 2026.
